Musician, Multi-instrumentalist and Songwriter Fernando Sánchez was born in 1987 - Chuquicamata, Chile. At the age of 6 his father started teaching him some melodies and chords on the piano, which he would start seriously learning at a Conservatorium. In his early teens, the music of The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix,  among others, called Fernando’s attention. His grandmother came up with the idea of learning how to play the guitar, so his father gave him his first guitar at the age of 12. Being part of several bands at school as a drummer, keyboard player and guitarist he also took part in the main school’s Orchestra.

Then he became even more excited with the idea of studying music professionally. Once he finished school in 2005, he started studying ‘Music Performance’ at the ‘Modern School of Music’ in Santiago de Chile, where he was trained to play any style that is required: Rock, Pop, Pop/Rock, Funk, Motown, Blues, Jazz, Latin, Bolero, Chacha, Big Band, Rhumba, etc. He was trained to read charts (first sight-reading) as well.

While he was studying, he was part of several bands as a session guitarist and had his own band. He has recorded several times in Recording Studios, played for different international and national Artists, all kinds of styles. He also was part of the University’s Orchestra.

When he finished his studies successfully, being only 24 Fernando joined a 5-Star Cruise Ship as the Orchestra’s Guitarist, playing over 300 songs (50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s) and for several Guest Entertainers, being very well evaluated at the end of his contract in  February 2012.

In May 2012 Fernando arrived to Australia with his equipment and started playing with ‘The Fabulous Sounds of the Sixties Show’ (Winner - Best Production Show - Entertainer of the Year Awards for Clubs in South QLD - three years in a row), and a Cover Band named Jericho.

In April 2013 Fernando joined a 5-Star Cruise Ship as the Orchestra's Guitarist for the 2nd time until June 2013. Since then, he's been working as a session guitarist in Chile with the signed artist 'Mario Guerrero', English Producer/Engineer 'Barry Sage', Orchestra's Director 'Rene Arangua Masserano', Songwriter/Producer 'Cris Zalles', among others.
